Cae Glas I v Tibberton – 5 July

Cae Glas entertained league leaders Tibberton at Gatacre on Saturday and made the most of an excellent bowling and fielding performance as a superb  team effort resulted in the visitors being dismissed for 150 in  37 overs.
Wickets were shared with Yappy taking a couple, and Gaz continuing his good form with a tight spell of medium pace as he took 2 for 29 in 10 overs.
Toothy mopped up the tail, ending with figures of 3 for 17.  The bowlers were ably supported by some excellent catching in the field. In reply, Cae Glas got off to a stuttering start and struggled to build partnerships to threaten the total.

Ben  with 29 and Edgerton 23 were the top scorers and a stand of 40 between the two briefly threatened to challenge the total, but when Hipkiss was dismissed only a 35 run partnership between Tim Morris and Stuart Eyres kept the Tibberton attack at bay.  Stuart, in particular showed excellent discipline to bat out for a draw as we closed our innings on 121 for 9.
Tibberton 14 points, Cae Glas 9 points.
