Technically a losing draw, but in reality the 2nds were a well beaten team at the Nursery Ground.
Bowling first, the day started well with good spells from Gavin Porritt (47 for 3) and Dave Smith, restricting the home team to 100 for 6 with 10 overs remaining. From that point onwards Knockin took control, Gary Darlington (53 not out) and Julian Gallimore (74 not out) dominated as Knockin raced to 191 for 6 off their 40 overs.
The Glas reply was steady but untroubled as we reached 40 without loss, but Gallimore was brought into the attack and again proved destructive with his 40 for 5 spell. Only a brisk knock of 34 from Aled Roberts lifted the gloom for the visitors, but when he departed with 2 overs and 3 wickets remaining it was game over as Glas were unable to hit the couple of runs to secure a draw point and finished 113 for 9
Knockin 18 points Cae Glas 4 points
