Keith Yapp’s last league game for Cae Glas ended on a high as they comprehensively beat already relegated Much Wenlock on Saturday.
Batting first, Wenlock found the Cae Glas attack difficult to dominate as Tim Turner (4 for 35) and Keith Yapp (2 for 37) made things difficult for the hosts. Ruch Nimantha weighed in with 4 catches. Only James Cook with 28 and Mark Brown with 27 showing any real resistance as the home side were dismissed for 136.
In reply, Cae Glas briefly wobbled as at one stage they were 43 for 3, but a superb knock of 57 not out from Barry Richards, ably supported by Gareth Edgerton (27 not out), saw Cae Glas comfortably home as they won by 7 wickets to ease any outside fears of last day relegation.
