Cae Glas suffered a second frustrating afternoon against basement side Harcourt as they again failed to gain maximum points against an inexperienced side.
Invited to bat first Cae Glas posted a creditable 208 for 7 in their 45 overs, built largely around a patient 71 from opener Mark Jones ably supported by Ruch Nimantha (40) Andy Griffiths (30) and Nick Morris (21).
In reply, Harcourt looked to be in with a shout of winning it, until Ruch’s return to the attack as he claimed 5 for 43 to cap an excellent afternoon’s performance with an aggressive spell of pace bowling. Harcourt’s last pair held out for a deserved draw as they finished on 199 for 9.
