September 19 – Cae Glas II v Shelton

George put in a good batting performance

Batting first Pete Bowyer (40), George Candler (39) and Gavin Porritt (19) put the Glas in a promising position and were looking to push on to a 180+ score, but a flurry of late wickets restricted the hosts to 156 for 9 off their 45 overs.

The Shelton reply was steady and controlled and with numerous catches going to ground the visitors cruised to a 4 wicket victory with 5 overs remaining.

It has proved to be a tricky second half of the season for the seconds, scrapping to pick up points to secure their reserve division 2, which ultimately they appear to have achieved.

Cae Glas 6 points Shelton 20 points
